Community Based Fundraisers
The Gathering Place is regularly approached by people in the community who would like to raise money to support our mission. We are so appreciative of these efforts and try however we can to support these community based fundraisers. In addition to the money we receive each of these events also introduces new people to The Gathering Place. Below is a list of community based fundraisers:Upcoming / Ongoing
100 Miles For Life -- Ted Friedman will be competing in the 2010 Burning River Endurance Run in order to raise funds for The Gathering Place. This 100-mile race will take place on July 31st. Please help support The Gathering Place by sponsoring Ted -- visit www.100milesforlife.org for more information about his attempt and to make a donation.
Evolution Yoga host Yoga In The Garden. On Labor Day, September 6, Evolution Yoga will once again host a Yoga fundraiser in Norma's Garden at The Gathering Place. Practice begins at 9:30 AM. All levels and new students are welcome. A donation of $15 is suggested.
Hope & Humor, a company offering organic, locally-made clothing for those facing mobility restrictions due to surgery, injury, or aging, is donating 10% of their net profits to The Gathering Place. Thanks to co-owners Melissa Pantel-Ku and Christine Weiss for their support of our work.
Dichroic Designs - Mimi Testen of Dichroic Designs of Shaker Heights will be donating 100% of the profits from the sale of her Cancer Jewelry to The Gathering Place. Click here for more information about her jewelry.
Advanced Hair Center - Thanks to our friends at Advanced Hair Center for donating a portion of the money spent on wigs by people who were referred by The Gathering Place.
